When people hear the words “sexual purity,” they often think only about avoiding sexual sin. But biblical purity goes much deeper than that it begins in the heart.

The way we think, the motives behind our actions, and the attention we seek from others all play a role in our pursuit of purity. In today’s world, there is constant pressure to look attractive, gain approval, and draw attention to ourselves. While there is nothing wrong with looking neat and presentable, we should be careful not to let our desire for attention become more important than our desire to please God.

God cares more about our character than our appearance. He is interested in who we are on the inside. The Bible encourages believers to pursue modesty, self-control, and holiness, not because God wants to take away our joy, but because He wants us to live lives that honor Him.

As Christians, our worth is not found in how many people admire us, compliment us, or find us attractive. Our worth is found in Christ. When we understand this, we stop looking for validation from the world and begin to focus on growing in faith and godly character.

Our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and every part of our lives should reflect our commitment to God. This includes the way we think, speak, dress, and interact with others.

True beauty is not found in outward appearance alone. It is found in a heart that loves God, seeks holiness, and desires to honor Him in all things. Let us pursue biblical sexual purity by putting God first and allowing His Word to shape our hearts and lives.

Purity begins where God looks first not on the outside, but in the heart.
